Marshall Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council Seeks Applicants for Membership

The Marshall Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is seeking high school-aged applicants to join their organization.

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a permanent, standing committee of the Marshall Community Foundation comprised of Marshall-area high school students. YAC members evaluate grant applications concerning youth, and then decide if the grant should be recommended to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees for funding consideration. In addition to funding youth-related grants, YACkers also participate in various community service projects.  YAC members are students who live in Marshall, are active members of the community, and are invested in Marshall’s future.

YAC provides students an excellent opportunity to make an impact in the Marshall area.  The council also allows youth to develop exceptional communication and leadership skills.  Students interested in applying to become a member of YAC are encouraged to visit the Community Foundation’s website at www.marshallcf.org/about/youth-advisory-council.  Applications must be submitted using the online link.

Applications are due no later than Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

The YAC application process is completely anonymous, and applicant’s names are removed prior to review.  After YAC has made their final membership selections, applicants will be notified by mail.  For further information, please contact Marshall Community Foundation YAC Advisor, Jen London at 269-781-2273 or email [email protected].
