| 3. YAC has identified the following youth issues as concerns in our community: (a) Academic pressure, (b) Mental health, (c) Vaping/e-cigarettes. Choose one of the issues. Discuss steps you would recommend taking to address the concern. *Write a minimum of 200 words | Mental health is a large issue in our community in this current era. Some steps to help address this problem are making resources available, allowing open discussions, and promoting or hosting more opportunities to get fresh air or exercise. One of the first ways we can address this situation is by making resources like counselors and help lines more accessible to everyone in schools and throughout our community. Resources don’t just have to be shared through school local business can have some resources too. Another way we can address this situation is allowing open discussions either weekly or monthly allowing people, if they are comfortable, coming and talking how they feel, kind of like a support group. It would allow people struggling to feel less alone in their situation. A final way we could address this is by hosting more opportunities to get out with people and exercise or just have the ability to be surrounded by people. Exercise has been prove to make people happier and being with people makes you feel better and less alone. These are just some ways we could address this. There are so many ways this could be addressed but these are just a select few. Addressing this could generally improve the community and the teens mental health. |
