No; in fact, we support a number of other local non-profits through our grant making efforts. We also hold a number of endowed funds for area non-profits.
The Marshall Community Foundation holds a variety of funds that benefit all areas of our great community.
The Foundation currently manages more than 160 endowed and non-endowed funds.
As with any 501(c) (3) in good standing with the IRS, your contributions qualify for the maximum deduction for income, gift and estate tax purposes allowed by law.
Of course, we respect your wishes to remain anonymous if you choose. But many you contribute to and through the Marshall Community Foundation allow us to tell their story as a means of garnering additional interest in our work.
Please note, the Marshall Community Foundation does not release specific donor or personnel information, including the size of your contribution or details of your estate gift, for example. Every donor is different – we will work with you to help ensure your individual requests for publicity are fulfilled.
The Marshall Community Foundation Pillar Society celebrates a number of like-minded individuals and families who have chosen the Foundation as a way to improve and enhance our great community for future generations through an estate gift.
Becoming a member of our Pillar Society is simple: include the Marshall Community Foundation in your will or trust, or make a contribution via a charitable gift annuity, life insurance, retirement fund assets, or a charitable remainder or lead trust.
As soon as you establish a fund, our staff handles all administrative tasks, including proposal review, check writing, reporting requirements, tax returns and annual audits. We also monitor all grants to ensure they were executed as specified.
